Believe you me, it could have turned out a whole hell of a lot worse. Barcelona are in a transitional stage and are coming off an overwhelmingly disappointing season. We may be able to steal one at home from them. Basel should be a home win and an away draw at worst. Shakhtar Donetsk, who are the reigning Ukranian Premier League Champions, will be tough away and may play a hard-nosed brand of football which Sporting aren’t necessarily accustomed to seeing. I can see Boss Bento going with a dual holding scenario in the away leg of this particular encounter with Fabulous Rochemback and Miggy Veloso sitting in front of the defense to disrupt any Ukranian attacks forward.
More previews and thoughts will come as the matches approach. Overall I’d say we’re middle/bottom of the pack as far as group difficulty is concerned. We definitely got one of the more questionable #1 seeds with Barcelona and have a real good chance of seeing the round of sixteen. Força Sporting!!

The Dragoes also have a good draw with the Arse as our #1 seed. Do not like the Liverpool draw at all though.
